Located to the right as you enter the park’s main North Entrance is our “terrain” (the area where a game of pétanque is played).
Pétanque
is sometimes referred to as Boules (although “boules” is actually the name of the large balls players throw) towards a small target ball known as the “jack” or “cochonnet”.
It is a great game for those who don’t want to ruin a lovely tranquil day with too strenuous an effort.
What Plant/Tree Life to Look Out For
The shade here on sunny days is provided by our Liquidambar trees. They offer welcome shelter during warm weather and become particularly spectacular in autumn when their leaves turn a beautiful fiery red.
What Insect/Bird/Animal Life to Look Out For
Surprisingly, this area is quite popular with some of our bird life. If you are lucky, you may spot sparrows enjoying a dust bath on the terrain.
Feel free to send us your pictures and let us know what other wildlife visitors enjoy the game as much as we do.

Activities/Things to do
